This reminds me of a little story my Uja Laza told me when we were in Serbia last year.
He said that the Doctor in the selo was a man originally from Nigeria who came to Serbia to go to University and ended up staying, marrying a woman from a small selo in Vojvodina. Uja Laza said that they were once both at a Hungarian wedding in the village when The Doctor turned to Uja Laza and said…
“Looks like we’re the only two Serbs here”.
