You could do a lot worse? Only if you’re planning a vacation in Iraq or Afganistan.

The article lists a number of other vacation destinations that have higher crime rates…really?

Then why aren’t we reading about Canadian tourists getting killed, or beaten into a coma regularly while on vacation in those countries?

I honestly don’t understand why Canadians are still going.

Det. Sgt. Biggerstaff said police officers conducting a raid on a home in the west-end neighbourhood on Monday night believe Mr. Thomas was there, but managed to escape. He took pains to caution that investigators would lay criminal charges if anyone is helping him elude police or destroy potential evidence.

How did he elude them?

Didn’t they surround the place? Even I’ve watched enough cop shows on TV to figure that out. I’m hoping that it’s some sort of elaborate bait and switch thing, where they deliberately let him go so that he could lead them to someone else.

Proof that I watch too many movies.

Seriously though, they’ll get him…eventually. They always do.
