I’ve noticed…
That when people move into the city from a small town or from the suburbs, it becomes MONUMENTAL to them that they be seen as “urban”.
This then leads to an almost obsessive need to malign the suburbs and small towns.
Which kinda shows that they may have left the small town, but the mentality remains.
I’ll say it again: The biggest hipsters I’ve ever met didn’t grow up in the city. If you grew up in the city, you wouldn’t have to try so hard.
